MIXED MEDIA ART: FLY HIGH

Firstly wishing everyone a fabulous 2017 !!!!

Recently I came across many forms of MIXED MEDIA ART. There are en number of tutorials for the same. Basically its an medium & combination of ink, paper, acrylics, collages etc.

Below here I have created a simple mixed media art.

To begin with I took a normal  mountboard and glued it with newspaper cuttings. After drying I painted the whole board with shade of green and blue(acrylic paints). As for the wordings... i took a tissue paper and wrote with a sketch pen.I glued this on the left hand side. I cut the bird  design from an old invitation card and placed ,giving it more detailed look with a black marker pen.
The floral embossing was done with a stencil. After the whole pic dried, with a help of a  pink oil pastel I highlighted  the areas. With a help of bottle cap i created a circle shape to give a mixed look.

Decoupage art

 

This time i have created a decoupage art on a glass bottle. Decoupage is an art of decorating an object with paper cutouts. Here I have used a medium sized glass bottle.I painted with white acrylic color.After drying paste the cutout of the lady(preferably dont cut the picture with scissors but with hand). Neatly paste the picture on the bottle and see to it no air bubbles are  formed.After drying apply a paste fevicol + water (1:1 ratio) on the whole picture.Let it dry completely.I have taken pearl metallic green  and black fevicryl paints to enhance further.Blend in the colors accordingly with a sponge.Let it dry completely.Apply a coat of varnish.

Paper necklace

Hi Crafters,
This time I have made a pendant from paper..... Yeah its paper pendant. The colors used are black and gold. The pendant is made from a Card board and the embossing has been  done with the help of tissue paper.

Its been long not yet posted for 2016, well my first post for this year is yet again a mural of lord Ganesha.I think I am quiet obsessed with ganeshji
This project is best out of waste as the base used is broken plate.I have coated with ceramic paste and then applied black acrylic and highlighting it with 3d outliner....

I have used blue mettalic colors.....and a light blue shade

I was literally  tied up work wise and traveling.....phew....work is in progress and schedules ar getting hectic.In the midst of all  i was surprised to see that my blog post was among the top 15(May month).....wwwoooowww.I know it may be a small thing but for me it was heaven.....

Coconut shell art- best out of waste

Here's a beautiful multipurpose holder created from a coconut shell.
I have used fevicryl  shilpkar , fevicryl acrylic colors and 3d outliner to decorate it.

Wall Mural -inspired from lippan art

 

This wall mural is inspired from Lippan art of Kutch, Gujrat.I have modified the art using ceramic clay and have used rhinestones for further enhancement.The base used is an MDF board.

Few days back it had rained.Sometimes the rain plays havoc whilst others feel romantic.I m not much a rain person but this time it unleashed some creativity in me. Yaaa I made these cute little love birds.The colors used are tinge of gold,crimson, yellow,red and black to paint the birds.
