Clay jewellery - traditional

After making paper quilled ornaments I made this jewellery from air dry clay.I have used acrylic colors such as Indian red, black and pear metallic gold. This kind of jewellery best suits with nice heavy Indian sarees.

Quilled earrings and pendant

Quilling is a technique where long paper strips are cut and rolled with the help of an quilling tool. The coil is then released and glued at the tip.Different shapes are formed and joined together.

I have made a simple black and white themed jhumka & to compliment with it ......a pendant.

Pot mural

Recently I purchased this miniature earthen pot.For a long time I wanted to do a pot mural. This being a miniature pot I wanted to do something unique on it.Somewhere previously on my blog, I had done a Buddha painting. This time I thought of sculpting it......

I have painted the pot evenly with an acrylic black color. The whole Buddha is done with M-seal Shilpkar. After the clay dried up I painted it with acrylic pearl metallic gold.
